Just For The Fun of It, Join Oprah This Week
Tomorrow (February 1, 2011) the Oprah Winfrey Show
will present a "Vegan Challenge" in which Oprah and
378 members of her staff have pledged to become
vegan for (at least) the next seven days.
If ever you've wanted to visit a meat factory, Oprah
will be taking her audience on a guided tour.
Advice for Oprah (and you)...
If you have will power and stick to your seven day
pledge in which you will eat no meat, eggs, or dairy
products, what happens on day 8 and nine is more
important than days 1-7.
Especially if you are from Missouri, the "Show-Me"
state.
On day 8, return to your Standard American Diet
(S.A.D. Diet).
On day 8, have pizza for dinner and ice cream for dessert.
Pay careful attention to how good you felt on days 1-7.
Then compare that feeling to day 9, because 12-15 hours
after loading up on dairy and producing histamines to
milk protein and reacting by producing three extra
quarts of internal mucus as dairy eaters do...that
will become your moment of revelation.
Your decision? Remain vegan and feel wonderful, or
remain non-vegan and live with the modern-day curse.
The May, 1995 issue of the Townsend Medical Letter
included a list of dairy-user's symptoms:
"In reality, cow's milk, especially processed
cow's milk, has been linked to a variety of
health problems, including: mucous production,
hemoglobin loss, childhood diabetes, heart
disease, atherosclerosis, arthritis, kidney
stones, mood swings, depression, irritability,
allergies."
