Target: Huntingdon Life Sciences Top Customers
This week we will be focusing on Huntingdon Life Sciences' Top Customers as we participate in a global week of action culminating in a protest on Sunday at the home of HLS CEO Andrew Baker. On Wednesday and Friday evenings, we will be protesting at the offices of Novartis and Bristol-Myers Squibb. Hopefully, we will catch some executives as they are leaving the office like we did last Friday at Bristol-Myers Squibb. On Sunday, we will start off at the home of Andrew Baker and then visit other key executives in the neighborhood. On Friday, August 28, 2009, after the Bristol-Myers Squibb protest, we will travel down to Greenwich Village to see the movie "At the Edge of the World" about Sea Shepherd's campaign to stop Japanese whaling in the Antarctic. The screening will be followed by a Q & A with the film's director/producer Dan Stone and animal rights activist Tim Gorski who filmed the action. (More about the movie in a separate e-mail coming later this week). Join us for a special event on Saturday, August 29th at 7:00 pm as we host a WAR Open House featuring campaign videos, including the NYC Premiere of SHAC's Time for Action 4 Video as well as other old favorites like Strike Back. Information will be provided about our coming campaigns and a special announcement relating to the Stop Huntingdon Animal Cruelty campaign will be made. You will also learn about our upcoming anti-fur campaign as well as international events like FARM's World Farm Animal Day and a solidarity day of action against the Japanese whale & dolphin slaughters. Vegan snacks will be provided and t-shirts, buttons and other merchandise will be available for purchase.
